Alison Thomas - Lead Administrator

Alison qualified in advertising and marketing, having started working life in book publishing and exporting. She was an account manager for an advertising agency before moving into corporate communications and event management, utilizing her creative and IT skills.

For 5 years she has overseen all GTN’s global program management requirements, supporting programs on 4 continents. Alison has travelled widely and was raised in England and the Middle East.

Lesley Duncan - IT & Systems

Lesley started life as a mathematician, but moved into the computing world working for the likes of GEC Marconi and Scottish Amicable before starting up her own IT consulting business Cyber Solutions (now Thistle Software) over 10 years ago. She mainly works developing Windows software & database applications for small businesses based in the UK and US, with some support & web site development thrown in when required.

When she’s allowed time off for good behaviour she plays the saxophone and trombone in various jazz & big bands in and around Dundee, Scotland where she is based.

Alison Footitt - Research & Knowledge Hub

Most of Alison's career has been spent in corporate universities and executive education in professional services firms and financial institutions. Her roles have included researching management and training issues, running a development library and addressing corporate knowledge management issues.

Alison has a first degree in psychology from the University of York and an MSc in Information science for City University in London. She is a chartered member of CILIP, the Chartered Institute of Library & Information Professionals.
